January Veterans Hygiene Item Drive 

In January we will be collecting the following hygiene items for Veterans and then the last Sunday of the month having a potluck and working with our Sunday School class to pack bags with the items inside.  Items will go to Roots for Boots for hand out at their food pantry events.  Packing will take place after church & meal/fellowship at 10:45 am on January 25 after congregational meeting.

Items needed:

Gallon or jumbo sized Ziplock bags

Mens or womens:

• Deorderant

• Shampoo/Conditioner

• Body wash

• Soap

• Toothbrushes

• Toothpaste

Bread Making Day 

Saturday, January 10   |   2:00 pm   |   $5/person (please register and pay by January 8)   |   Flohr's Church

Learn how to make 2-3 different types of bread and take home a sampling of your creations to enjoy yourself!  It's a great way to learn something new, spend time with friends, and fill the air with the warm aroma of freshly baked bread.  Call (717) 334-3992, email Flohrschurch@gamil.com, or sign up in the narthex.

 

Bible Study & Faith Explorers

Resuming January 11  |  Following coffee hour

Come explore the bible with us.  All are welcome. A children's Sunday School will be offered as well.  These sessions will run alongside our Adult Bible Study, so children and adults can grow in faith together. We’ll also have Coffee Hour between worship and bible study and children's Sunday School,  a chance for everyone to grab a refreshment and a snack before we begin.

Breakfast Item Donations Needed

Breakfast items are need for the Gettysburg Area Clergy Meeting on January 20.  If you are able to help, please drop of items by 9:0 am on January 20.  Thank you!

Fellowship Night Committee Meeting 

Tuesday, January 20   |   6:30 pm

The Fellowship Night Committee is forming and we are inviting volunteers to be part of the planning team. This committee will prayerfully plan and coordinate our Fellowship Nights, where men's, women's, and children's groups meet on the same evening and share a meal together. If you enjoy serving, organizing, or helping create a welcoming and Christ-centered environment for all ages, we would love for you to join us for our first planning night.​​

Sub and Pizza Fundraiser 

Please help us to raise funds for our new Fellowship Nights evenings which will kick off in March of 2026!  Orders and money are due by January 25.  Delivery will be Friday, February 6.  Order forms are available in the Narthex and more information is in the January newsletter or contact Carrie for more information.

Coffee Hour

Looking for coffee hour host!  We'd love a few volunteers to help with Sunday coffee hour after worship.  All you need to do is make coffee (supplies provided) and bring along a light snack to share.  It's a simple way to serve and help everyone enjoy fellowship together.  Please sign up for a Sunday on the sheets in the Narthex.  Please consider donating a container of ground coffee for these times.

We are seeking volunteers to write inspiring articles for our church newsletter! We are looking for stories that highlight the lives and contributions of our amazing members.  This could include: historical profiles; member spotlights; "Good Works" stories; and personal reflections. No writing experience is necessary.  If you are interested in sharing your talents and helping to tell the stories of our church community, please contact Carrie at the church office.  Let's work together to create a newsletter that inspires and connects our church family!
