Bible Study & Faith Explorers

Following coffee hour

Come explore the bible with us.  All are welcome. A children's Sunday School will be offered as well.  These sessions will run alongside our Adult Bible Study, so children and adults can grow in faith together. We’ll also have Coffee Hour between worship and bible study and children's Sunday School,  a chance for everyone to grab a refreshment and a snack before we begin.

Lenten Soup Supper

Wednesdays during Lent   |   6:00pm

Join us for a Lenten Soup Supper featuring a light meal of soup and bread, fellowship, and a reflection by Pastor Gene.  Volunteers are needed to provide soup and bread - please consider sharing your gifts to help make this evening meaningful for all.  Please sign up in the Narthex.

Community Shared Harvest at Flohrs Evening

Tuesday, April 7   |  5:30 Dinner & 6:30 Outreach Project Groups

We will have a community dinner and then break off into men's, Women's, and Children's groups to work on our first outreach project — a blessings box for our church provide non-perishable food items to those in the community who may need it.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Give the Shirt off Your Back Community Outreach Event

We will be holding our first volunteer outreach mission of the year at the Give the Shirt Off Your Back Event at Arendtsville Fire Company.  Volunteers are needed to help anytime between 12:00 noon and 3:00pm each day.  This is a wonderful opportunity to serve our community and support a local ministry that provides clothing and assistance to those in need.  Please sign up in the narthex if you are able to assist.  We hope you consider joining us for this meaningful time of service.

Spring Clean Up at Flohrs Church

Your help is needed to do spring clean up around the church.  Just show up - no tools needed.  The more, the merrier!

We are going to work with the Veterans Association to place flags on graves at Flohrs Church Cemetery.  More details to come.

Gettysburg Excursion Train Ride

Saturday, May 30   |   10:00am  |  LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE

Enjoy a 90 minutes train ride along the scenic route with commentary.  Adults 13-64 = $32.50; children 2-12 = $27; Seniors 65+ = $28.25.  Please make checks payable to Flohrs Church (first come, first served).  Contact Carrie with questions.  A sign-up sheet can be found in the narthex.

Coffee Hour

Looking for coffee hour host!  We'd love a few volunteers to help with Sunday coffee hour after worship.  All you need to do is make coffee (supplies provided) and bring along a light snack to share.  It's a simple way to serve and help everyone enjoy fellowship together.  Please sign up for a Sunday on the sheets in the Narthex.  Please consider donating a container of ground coffee for these times.

We are seeking volunteers to write inspiring articles for our church newsletter! We are looking for stories that highlight the lives and contributions of our amazing members.  This could include: historical profiles; member spotlights; "Good Works" stories; and personal reflections. No writing experience is necessary.  If you are interested in sharing your talents and helping to tell the stories of our church community, please contact Carrie at the church office.  Let's work together to create a newsletter that inspires and connects our church family!
